Read this before you treat any guide on Hefi as encouragement. The pages explain how quotes, sessions, and position size work. They are not a recommendation to trade, not a personal plan, and not a forecast.
You can lose the money quickly
Forex and contracts for difference are leveraged products. A small change in the quote can produce a large change in the account, up or down. You can lose some or all of the money you deposit with a firm. Where the agreement does not cap losses at zero, you can be asked for more than you deposited. Gaps, slippage, and widened spreads can carry a fill past the stop you drew.
Past descriptions in these guides, including every teaching price, are illustrations. They are not evidence that a future trade will behave. The homepage figures are frozen on purpose so nobody can mistake them for a feed.
What Hefi is not
- Not a broker, bank, adviser, or portfolio manager.
- Not a party to any trade you place with a third party.
- Not able to see your account, withdraw for you, or recover a loss.
- Not responsible for the accuracy of a platform's price, a bank's rate, or a policy circular. Those belong to their publishers. The Central Bank of Nigeria is one such publisher, and its site is not ours.
What remains yours
Whether you can afford the loss named in the size guide. Whether the firm you choose is permitted to deal with you. Whether your bank will process a payment. Whether a strategy copied from a relative, a group chat, or a major-pair textbook survives the spread on USDNGN. None of those questions is answered by the existence of this website.
If you do not understand the bid, the ask, and the naira amount a stop would cost, do not fund an account yet. Read how a pair works and use a demo. Standing aside is allowed. It is often the only decision on the page that costs nothing.
Costs that do not look like losses
Spread, commission, swap, and slippage can reduce an account even when your direction was roughly right. On a wide pair the spread alone can be larger than the move you were trying to catch. Overnight financing can charge you for a chart that went nowhere. A gap can fill a stop beyond the line, so the loss you sized is a floor under ordinary conditions and not a ceiling under violent ones. Counting only the distance from entry to target, and ignoring these, is how a planned gain becomes a surprise loss.
Leverage makes each of those costs faster relative to the money you put in. It does not create a new kind of safety. A firm that advertises a high maximum is advertising a ceiling. Using the ceiling because it is available is a choice, and the loss that follows is still yours. Hefi will not choose it for you and will not soothe it afterwards.
Outside this website
Rules about who may offer leveraged products, and who may send money abroad to fund them, are not uniform. They can depend on where you live, where the firm is, and what your bank is willing to process. This disclosure does not summarise Nigerian law and it does not replace the client agreement. If you do not know whether you are allowed to open the account you are looking at, find that out before you fund it. A clear guide is not a permission slip.
Teaching prices on Hefi are frozen. Even if a number here once resembled a market, it is not a market now. Do not place a trade because a drawing matched a level you like. The drawing was made so a spread could be seen.
If you need a person to tell you whether you can afford the loss, that person is not this website. Affordability is a fact about your rent, your other debts, and your stomach for a red week. We can show the arithmetic. We cannot sign it. Leaving the money in the account you already understand is a complete decision, and nothing on the following pages will call it a missed one.
